THE SPINECOR ® TREATMENT SYSTEM
SpineCor® is a revolutionary treatment for scoliosis, kyphosis and lordosis. It takes its effectiveness from the fact that it dynamically corrects body posture by means of elastic bands that do not restrict motion.
This innovative concept, which uses movement as a therapeutic principle, is unprecedented because all other braces used for conservative (non-surgical) treatment for the last 70 years focus rather on immobilizing the trunk. When no physiotherapy treatment is associated, as is often the case throughout North America, this restriction of movement can lead to muscle deconditioning and atrophy (”muscle waste”), which means the correction cannot be sustained by the muscles once treatment is completed.
Developed at Ste-Justine’s Hospital in Montreal by two orthopaedic surgeons, SpineCor®’s reputation is international and it has been used with great success in over 30 countries around the world by various health professionals, including: orthopaedists, physiatrists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, osteopaths and orthotists.
